PassingThe object of a game of rugby is to win, you do this mainly by scoring tries. Without good passing your team is likely to lose possession of the ball and less likely to score a try.
To pass the ball you must throw it backwards to another player, who should be standing just behind you in the line of players.
The ball must travel backwards or it is considered a
forward pass. A forward pass will be penalised by the ball being given to the other team.
Just to clarify this a diagram is provided.
