Heyy guyys ....

we need more ideas for recruitment.... anyone got anyy???.....

i have been asked to become part of the community coaching team at hinckley... and so will be going into quite a fews schools... it will be boys and girls tho so im not sure atm how many girls team il have owt to do with but i can send flyers out etc ...

i think goin into schools is a good idea but if thats not purely for vixens then... i think we should look into starting a propper tag for beginners say once every two weeks or something as it would allow us to get younger player and train them with basic skills to go into the U15 team... this would mean we should have a good flow of players coming through x

ohh and i also think the advert in the paper is a good idea... we should try and design a big poster to put up in all the highschools around here to try and catch the attention of girls who wanna play as we are not very well publicised, even around hinckley... x

Think we should go lutterworth highschool aswell, coz no ones tried that have they? when i was there we did stuff coz some england U21s dude came LOL

Hopefullly because of the womans world cup being on tv, it might help to get a few more girls interested

Putting posters up in school is actually a really good idea as it appeals to the age group we're aiming at. I mean how many young kids read papers (I used to, but i'm sad.)

Posters are a really good idea, make them really stand out so that people stop to look at them

I'm sure some sort of agreement could be arranged with the Vixens and some local schools..

ughh i wrote out a whole reply and it disapeared, so here i go again.
i think the poster idea is good, ive got a few up at KE7 (my school, sports centre and where the club is) i think we got them from the RFUW you can order some for free i think.
we are doing a handout on sat 5th i think. nick made some leaflets about the team, the game, contact details, times and places we train and stuff like that- they look good. hopefully that will encourage some new girls to come along
bek what are you planning to do in the schools? i was thinking of doing something with the ones round here too. i dont know what though, i thought about a presentation in an assembly. Or see if there are any PE sessions i could go into and talk to the girls. what were your ideas?

Maybe posters around, a little mention in the school bulletin, or in assembely. Then a short induction to rugby, with a few fun games.. that to me sounds like a good idea..

Then they can make their own decision if they want to go training in the various places. Maybe in the induction session is over as well, hand out some leaflets giving training times / stuff to wear etc..

i think we need to try and get that sorted like the stuff what zak said sounds good to me just need to get and eye catching poster made so ppl will actually stop and read it x

yeah defoo ... welll if anyone is willing to create a poster using zaks logo then feel free... if not then il try put something together soon - just settling into 6th form
